If you are looking for good, fun, entertaining interactive books, we are sharing some of our favorite interactive books for toddlers with you that your toddler will love!
If you have read my other posts, you know that learning and education are e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g in our home. We focus a lot on teaching every skill, from fine motor, gross motor, language, and more!
Interactive books are one way that we love to promote learning and language skills. Because we started reading books super early, around eight months old, Kyla has found a love for learning and reading. Toddlers are so busy, but when you find books that keep them entertained, you will keep their interest! This is why interactive books for toddlers are always a fun way to go!
Every night we try our best to read at least one book. Some days we read five books and other days we read one. Interactive books for toddlers are SO GOOD because they will learn a love for reading early on. They are exciting books meant to captivate your child’s interest + teaches your child at the same time. These books also teach words, sounds, colors, and support language development by keeping our toddlers interested! Our goal in learning is to teach Kyla a variety of things all while she reads.

Interactive Books For Toddlers They Will Love:
Farm Animals
Such a fun way to learn about animals on the farm, how they feel and what sounds they make. Kyla loves to feel the different animals and make each sound. Usually as we read I will point and ask her what animal she sees.
Hear Bear Roar
Is such a great book to learn practice and learn some first words to build vocabulary. Each button has an animal sound to it, and it always keeps littles engaged when books talk back to them. Kyla loves pushing the buttons and thinks it is so neat!
Wild Animals
Wild animals is another touch and feel book and a great way to learn how different animals feel. We talk about which ones have fur and feel soft so that Kyla can learn about different animals. Great way to add words to your littles vocabulary!
The Touch Book
The Touch book is a fun book because it teaches your little one different textures and what they feel like. It is exciting for littles to learn about what they might feel and to talk about what feels soft or hard so they can learn explore sensory items.
Sticker Book
I don’t know about your little one, but Kyla is at that age where stickers are so entertaining and she is obsessed with putting stickers everywhere. This sticker book is so engaging because they learn letters and use stickers to help their attention span last. I usually point and tell Kyla what sticker to use, and where to put it. You can do this all while teaching the alphabet. Its a fun fave!
Touch and Trace Alphabet Book
If your little one has reached an age of independence, they will also find joy in touching and tracing the alphabet which also helps work on their fine motor skills. We work a lot on skills at home especially the fine motor skills that prepare them to write, cut, and use their hands when they start preschool. 😉
Toes, Ears, and Nose
Learning and talking about body parts is so fun. Although we sing, “head, shoulders, knees, and toes” we also read about body parts and talk about them. You can read to your little one all while using their little hands and feet to keep them engaged while you read.
Giant Dinosaurs
Kyla love animals, so we teach her about all of them. Dinosaurs are fun for her to learn about and she likes to say “rawr” haha. If you have a little boy you will be able to keep their attention while talking and sharing about dinosaurs. It is a fun lift and flap book that shares facts about dinosaurs!
Hide and Seek on the Farm
Hide and seek on the farm is another book with A LOT of lift and flaps, and hidden pictures to find. Kyla is so engaged when it comes to hide and seek in general. She loves to play hide and seek. Adding games to play while reading is such a fun way to learn for littles. Super fun read!!
My First Word Book
First word books are my favorite, we used our first word book a lot more around 12-18 months of age. But, there are so many words that we want to make sure she doesn’t forget and some she can still learn. First word books are definitely simple single words that work well when used repetitively so that child can expand their vocab!
Goldilocks and Hansel and Grettel
These two books are both fun POP UP books, where objects and figures pop out at your little one! Goldilocks pop up book focuses on the opposites of things and toddlers get to use their imagination during the read. This was one of my favorites growing up and Kyla gets excited when I ask her questions about what will happen next. Hansel and Grettel is another fun pop up book with lots of words to learn!
Press Here
Press here takes little ones on an exciting journey where the dots change and they look forward to pressing the dot each time. Super fun and interactive way to explore their imagination and learn!
I’ll admit that books are read a lot in our home and we have loved these books to help our littles learn and love to read. We hope your toddler loves some of the interactive books for toddlers that our toddler loves!
